Discover Bowland and explore over 800 sq km of rural Lancashire and Yorkshire. Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty have some of the UK’s best countryside for walking, cycling and wildlife watching and Bowland is no different!
Bowland is brimming with opportunities in 2019 from volunteering with the Pendle Hill Project to a dark sky adventure or wildlife encounter in the Festival Bowland programme – there really is something for everyone.
The Dark Sky Festival in February, a first for Bowland, builds on the development of the dark Sky Discovery Sites – join a star camp, gather round a forest campfire or develop your skills in astrophotography.
The Foodie Foray in the autumn will celebrate Bowland’s fantastic, seasonal local produce with a week of walks, foraging and feasting.
Check out the full Festival Bowland programme with pull out walks and short break itineries. Your free guide is available at Eldroth House Holiday Cottages.
