Discover Bowland

Great to meet up with everyone yesterday, albeit virtually, for the launch of the new Discover Bowland Guide and catch up on how people have been coping with and adapting to life with lockdowns. I’ve been reading through the hard copy we got in the post, it’s full of wonderful stories of life in the Forest of Bowland AONB and top tips to make the most of your visit to the area as soon as we’re allowed to welcome you again. One of the positives from 2020 is that more people have connected or reconnected with nature and the Guide shares lots of ideas to explore the area both virtually and in person, whether you’re interested in walking, cycling, star gazing or sampling the delicious foods from the local area it’s a place for all seasons.

Take a look at the Guide here and for more information on accommodation providers and producers have a look at Discover Bowland.

Thank you to all at Forest of Bowland and Champion Bowland for putting the Guide and website together and for all the work they do to conserve and enhance the natural and cultural beauty of the Forest of Bowland landscape and to promote sustainable tourism on behalf of local businesses.
